Seasonal Retail Consultant | Aesop University Village | Part Time

About the role

Aēsop® is seeking a Seasonal Retail Consultant to deliver exceptional in-store experiences through genuine, personalized conversations and product storytelling. The ideal candidate will embody Aesop’s values, connect authentically with customers, and contribute to a dynamic retail environment. This is a contract position with an end date of January 16, 2027. Candidates must be available between November 1 and January 16, 2027; vacation will not be accommodated during this time. Full availability is required during specific weekend dates.

Responsibilities

• Customer Experience:
  • Connect with customers to understand their needs and recommend products that fit their world.
  • Craft a personalized customer journey, from warm welcome to thoughtful product demonstrations and regimen building.
  • Confidently lead customers to the sink or fragrance area, demonstrating recommended products on their hands.
  • Ensure a memorable departure by offering full regimens, samples, and a warm invitation to return.
  • Embody Aesop’s values in all actions and seek continuous improvement.
• Retail Essentials:
  • Adhere to Aesop’s grooming guidelines and uphold retail standards to deliver the "five senses" experience.
  • Complete stock, inventory, and store presentation tasks diligently.

Requirements

• Experience working as part of a customer-focused team, ideally within retail or hospitality.
• A keen eye for detail in selling and delivering tailored experiences.
• A merchant mindset that is both customer-focused and commercially driven.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with confidence in tactile product demonstrations.
• A deep passion for selling premium products and excitement for Aesop’s skincare and fragrance offerings.
• Ability to work on the sales floor for extended periods, walk up and down stairs and/or a ladder as necessary, and lift up to 25 lbs. on a regular basis.
