Seasonal & Regular Sales Floor Support- Carolina Pavilion Rack

About the role

As a Nordstrom Rack team member, you’ll work in a fast-paced, high-energy environment, continuously moving and collaborating with teammates to create a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere for all customers. Flexibility is key, as you may occasionally work in different areas of the store to maintain cleanliness and assist customers in finding great deals.

Responsibilities

• Work with the team to keep the salesfloor "runway ready" through re-merchandising and straightening throughout the day
• Assist customers at checkout with a variety of transactions across in-store, online, and mobile platforms, including operating a point-of-sale system, bagging items of all sizes, and handling bulky or heavy items (including boxes)
• Create a smooth fitting room experience by greeting and assisting customers, sorting and returning clothing to the salesfloor
• Maintain a clean and clutter-free customer experience by sorting and returning clothing to the salesfloor
• Keep stockrooms organized and ensure merchandise is properly checked in and accurately ticketed
• Demonstrate expertise in all technologies used in the store environment
• Adhere to all operational, merchandise, and asset protection standards
• Promote initiatives like the Nordstrom Rewards program

Requirements

• Clear, effective communication with strong interpersonal skills
• Accountability, initiative, and a high level of ownership
• Organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work a flexible schedule based on business needs

Physical Requirements

• Continuous movement for 6–8 hours per shift, including frequent bending, twisting, squatting, flexing, and reaching to handle merchandise and assist customers
• Frequent use of hands for grasping, fine manipulation, pushing, and pulling
• Ability to handle bulky and sometimes awkwardly shaped items, including reaching for and lifting these items above the head
• Regularly lift items weighing up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 25 pounds

Pay

$16.35 – $17.05 hourly
