Seasonal & Regular Seasonal Sales Floor Support & Stock - Pembroke Mall Rack

You’ll ensure a quick and easy customer experience and keep the store clean and clutter free.

About the role

Flexibility is key, as you may occasionally work in different areas of the store to maintain the cleanliness of the floor and stockrooms and help customers find great deals. We have roles available in Sales, Customer Service, Stock, and Fulfillment departments.

Responsibilities

Sales and Customer Service

• Work with the team to ensure the salesfloor stays "runway ready", sized, and filled in through re-merchandising and straightening throughout the day
• Assist customers when cashiering with a variety of transactions across different platforms (in-store, online, and mobile), including operating a point-of-sale system, bagging items of all sizes, and handling bulky or heavy items
• Create a smooth fitting room experience by greeting and assisting customers, sorting, and returning clothing to the floor
• Maintain a clean and clutter-free customer experience by sorting and returning clothing to the salesfloor
• Keep stockrooms organized and ensure merchandise is properly checked in and accurately ticketed
• Demonstrate expertise in all technologies used in the store environment
• Adhere to all operational, merchandise, and asset protection standards
• Promote initiatives like the Nordstrom Rewards program

Stock Support and Fulfillment

• Receive, unload freight, unpack, and deliver newly arrived merchandise to selling departments
• Fulfill customer orders in a timely manner following quality standards
• Prepare and ship customer orders following quality, packing, and shipping standards
• Utilize inventory management systems to scan, process, and research merchandise shipments in accordance with inventory control processes
• Assist in maintaining clean and organized selling floors and stockrooms
• Provide general support to the store, including setting up special events, organizing the backroom, handling markdowns, and relocating store fixtures

Physical Requirements

• Continuous movement for 6-8 hours per shift, including frequent bending, twisting, squatting, flexing, and reaching to handle merchandise and assist customers
• Frequent use of hands for grasping, fine manipulation, pushing, and pulling
• Handling bulky and sometimes awkwardly shaped items, including reaching above the head
• Regularly lift items weighing up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 25 pounds
• For Stock and Fulfillment roles: Frequently lift and carry up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds

Pay

The pay range for this role is $16.35 - $17.05 hourly, dependent on location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Commission for selling employees varies based on merchandise sold: apparel, shoes, and accessories typically range from 3% to 14.5%, while Beauty and Men’s Fragrance sales roles typically receive 3%. This position may also be eligible for performance-based incentives or bonuses.
