Seasonal Stock Support - Laguna Hills Mall Rack

About the role

Join the Nordstrom Rack team in a fast-paced, high-energy environment where you’ll collaborate with teammates to create a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere for all customers. You’ll ensure a quick and easy customer experience while keeping the store clean and clutter-free. Flexibility is key, as you may work in different areas of the store, including Sales, Customer Service, Stock, and Fulfillment departments.

Responsibilities

Sales and Customer Service

• Work with the team to keep the sales floor "runway ready" by re-merchandising and straightening throughout the day.
• Assist customers with transactions across in-store, online, and mobile platforms, including operating a point-of-sale system, bagging items, and handling bulky or heavy merchandise.
• Support fitting room operations by greeting and assisting customers, and sorting and returning clothing to the sales floor.
• Maintain a clean and clutter-free customer experience by organizing and returning clothing to the sales floor.
• Keep stockrooms organized, ensuring merchandise is properly checked in and accurately ticketed.
• Demonstrate expertise in all store technologies.
• Adhere to operational, merchandise, and asset protection standards.
• Promote initiatives like the Nordstrom Rewards program.

Stock Support and Fulfillment

• Receive, unload, and unpack freight, delivering newly arrived merchandise to selling departments.
• Fulfill customer orders in a timely manner following quality standards.
• Prepare and ship customer orders while adhering to packing and shipping standards.
• Utilize inventory management systems to scan, process, and research merchandise shipments.
• Maintain clean and organized selling floors and stockrooms.
• Provide general store support, including setting up special events, organizing backrooms, handling markdowns, and relocating store fixtures.

Requirements

• Ability to work a flexible schedule based on business needs.

Physical Requirements

• Continuous movement for 6-8 hours per shift, including frequent bending, twisting, squatting, flexing, and reaching to handle merchandise and assist customers.
• Frequent use of hands for grasping, fine manipulation, pushing, and pulling.
• Handling bulky and awkwardly shaped items, including reaching above the head.
• Regularly lift items weighing up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 25 pounds.
• For Stock and Fulfillment roles: Frequently lift and carry up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.

Pay

Hourly pay range: $18.85 - $19.65, dependent on location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

This position may be eligible for performance-based incentives/bonuses.
