Seasonal & Regular Retail Sales Floor Support - Persimmon Place Rack

About the role

Join the Nordstrom Rack team in a fast-paced, high-energy environment where you’ll collaborate with teammates to create a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere for all customers. You’ll ensure a quick and easy customer experience while keeping the store clean and clutter-free. Flexibility is key, as you may work in different areas of the store, including Sales, Customer Service, Stock, and Fulfillment departments.

Responsibilities

Sales and Customer Service

• Work with the team to keep the salesfloor "runway ready" by re-merchandising and straightening throughout the day
• Assist customers with transactions across in-store, online, and mobile platforms, including operating a point-of-sale system and handling bulky or heavy items
• Create a smooth fitting room experience by greeting and assisting customers and returning clothing to the salesfloor
• Maintain a clean and clutter-free customer experience by sorting and returning clothing to the salesfloor
• Keep stockrooms organized, ensuring merchandise is properly checked in and accurately ticketed
• Demonstrate expertise in all store technologies
• Adhere to operational, merchandise, and asset protection standards
• Promote initiatives like the Nordstrom Rewards program

Stock Support and Fulfillment

• Receive, unload, unpack, and deliver newly arrived merchandise to selling departments
• Fulfill customer orders in a timely manner following quality standards
• Prepare and ship customer orders following quality packing and shipping standards
• Utilize inventory management systems to scan, process, and research merchandise shipments
• Maintain clean and organized selling floors and stockrooms
• Provide general store support, including setting up special events, organizing backrooms, markdowns, and relocating store fixtures

Requirements

• Clear, effective communication with strong interpersonal skills

• Organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work a flexible schedule based on business needs

Physical Requirements

• Continuous movement for 6-8 hours per shift, including frequent bending, twisting, squatting, flexing, and reaching
• Frequent use of hands for grasping, fine manipulation, pushing, and pulling
• Handling bulky and awkwardly shaped items, including reaching above the head
• Regularly lift items weighing up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 25 pounds
• For Stock and Fulfillment roles: Frequently lift and carry up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds

Pay

Hourly pay range: $21.00 - $21.85, dependent on location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

This position may be eligible for performance-based incentives/bonuses.
