Seasonal Public Works Operators

About the role

Heber City Corporation (the City of Heber) is seeking to hire two individuals for seasonal Public Works Department work. This position provides valuable experience in municipal infrastructure. Work is performed on-site and primarily outdoors in City Parks, the Cemetery, and Trails.

Responsibilities

• Maintain safe, well-landscaped grassy areas and park equipment
• Operate outdoor garden tools such as mowers and weed trimmers
• Clean public restrooms

Requirements

• Possess a valid Driver’s License
• Ability to learn safety practices and follow directions
• Ability to operate lawn tools and equipment
• Pass a pre-employment drug test upon offer of employment and acceptance

Physical demands

• Considerable bending, lifting, stooping, and twisting

Schedule

• Start time: promptly at 7:00 am
• Lunch: 30-minute break
• End time: primarily at 5:30 pm, Monday through Thursday
• Occasional weekends and evenings
