Seasonal Public Works Laborer

About the role

The Village of Lincolnwood’s Department of Public Works is hiring seasonal employees to assist with landscaping, maintenance, and public works operations. Positions are available for up to six months, offering a great team environment.

Responsibilities

• Mowing and landscaping
• Branch chipping
• Basic maintenance of vehicles
• Building maintenance
• Perform related duties and manual labor as assigned
• Snow removal as needed

Requirements

• Ability to frequently lift and move up to 50 pounds
• Possession of a valid driver’s license
• Ability to maintain working relationships with co-workers
• Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions
• Experience in at least one of the listed responsibilities

Pay

The starting rate for the position is $20.00 per hour.

Schedule

• Work hours are 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday
• Duration of this position is expected to be 6 months or 1,000 hours worked
