Quad is seeking reliable, hardworking Seasonal Employees interested in learning and growing in the printing industry. In this role, you’ll work on a team producing magazines, catalogs, newspaper inserts, and related products within the Finishing production area.

Responsibilities

  • Remove product from the end of the printing press.
  • Work with loose and/or completed product by stacking onto pallets, transferring to tables, placing into a collator hopper, or into mail bags.
  • Move product/skids using a hand jack, motorized Raymond (Big Joe) lift, or forklift (training provided).
  • Comply with all quality, safety, and work rules and regulations.
  • Effectively communicate with team members.
  • Assist crew members with duties such as webbing up the press or special handwork to meet customer requests.
  • Follow all clean-up and housekeeping procedures.

Qualifications

  • Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
  • Factory, manufacturing, or other work experience involving mechanical or handwork (e.g., laborer, machinist, assembly, bindery, mechanic, warehouse) is preferred.
  • Printing, finishing (bindery), or warehouse experience is preferred.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Ability to write and read measurements.
  • Ability to read, understand, and follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Ability to use a computer.
  • Ability to perform repetitive hand/wrist movements.
  • Ability to lift stacks of end boards or banding strap rolls (~30–60 lbs) as needed.
  • Ability to adjust a stacker using a touch screen.
  • Ability to use a vibrating jogging table.
  • Ability to lift stacks of loose signatures or bundles (5–30 lbs) from pallets or conveyors up to 48” high and transfer them to a 42” tabletop work surface, then place into a collator hopper or mail bags weighing 5–75 lbs.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize job needs.
  • Ability to work as a team player in a fast-paced, detail-oriented production environment.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work independently.

Schedule

  • 12-hour shifts: 7 a.m.–7 p.m. or 7 p.m.–7 a.m., including days, nights, and weekends (Friday, Saturday, or Sunday).
  • Flexible weekend schedules available.

Pay

$18.00 per hour.
