Seasonal Parks and Golf Maintenance

Position Description And Job Functions

• Operates hand and riding mowers to cut playing fields, park areas or golf course.
• Operates string trimmers for weedwacking.
• Performs manual labor in tasks such as field lining, weeding, raking, and fence repair.
• Aids in tree planting and facility repairs.
• Performs routine tasks such as emptying garbage cans, picking up litter, and checking parks equipment for safety hazards.
• Serves to ensure all equipment is cleaned and returned to proper location after use.

Knowledge, Skills And Abilities

• Ability to carry out instructions given in written or verbal form.
• Aptitude to learn skills to operate equipment.
• Ability to lift objects and/or carry objects weighing from 25 to 50 pounds.

Conditions And Qualifications

• Connecticut motor vehicle operator's license is required with at least 6 months driving experience.
• No benefits associated with this position.
