About the role
The Golf Course Food and Beverage Guest Attendant provides alcoholic, non-alcoholic, packaged, and prepared food items at golf course comfort stations for golfers. Comfort stations are small, climate-controlled, concession-style buildings located throughout the club’s two championship golf courses, including a service window in the clubhouse. This role also includes working as an Event Server at club functions, serving food and beverages during banquets, assisting with setup and cleanup, and providing event support.
Responsibilities
- Greets guests in a friendly and professional manner, providing a warm welcome and attending to inquiries, requests, and concerns promptly.
- Follows established safety and security protocols to ensure the well-being of guests and property.
- Serves alcoholic, non-alcoholic, packaged, and prepared foods to guests and members at golf course comfort stations, the clubhouse walkup window, and event venues.
- Takes food and beverage orders using a point-of-sale system, handles payment transactions, and maintains daily inventory records.
- Checks identification of guests requesting alcohol to verify age using a valid photo ID.
- Maintains clean and sanitized workstations throughout the shift, following proper hygiene and safety protocols.
- Monitors alcohol intake of guests and prevents overserving in accordance with Serve Safe training.
- Assists in the setup, refilling, and removal of event food stations and bars.
- Assists in serving and bussing plated items to seated guests at events.
- Assists in the setup and breakdown of event spaces, seating, and supplies.
- Complies with all OSHA and Westfield safety, training, and certification standards within required timeframes.
- Operates golf carts and/or other maintenance vehicles as needed.
Requirements
- 0–2 years of experience in customer service and cash handling.
- Possession of a valid driver’s license with a driving record that conforms to company standards.
- Must be at least 18 years of age (Ohio law requires employees to be 18 to serve alcohol and 21 to pour alcohol).
- Able to lift and carry a minimum of 40 pounds.
