Seasonal Laborer - Parks

Responsibilities

• Maintain golf facilities through mowing, weed whipping, and landscape bed upkeep
• Set up and operate special events
• Perform painting, trash pickup, and cleaning of buildings and sites
• Remove snow during winter months
• Work outdoors in all weather conditions

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent
• Must be 18 years old
• Valid Michigan Driver’s license with a good driving record
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Ability to complete basic written reports
• Experience in building, athletic field, or golf course maintenance preferred
• Pesticide license desired but not required

Skills

• Effective communication and ability to establish good working relationships with the public and other employees
• Ability to understand and follow oral instructions

Schedule

Seasonal position starting ASAP. Monday through Sunday with varying hours depending on season, up to 40 hours per week. Nights and weekends may be required.
