About the role

Kneaders Bakery & Cafe is seeking an enthusiastic Seasonal Front of House Retail Team Member who shares a passion for food quality, customer service, and community. In this role you will work within a dynamic team offering a menu of scratch‑baked breads and pastries, soups, salads, and sandwiches made with honest, whole ingredients.

Responsibilities

• Actively listen to guests and confidently suggest meal and gift items to first‑time visitors and returning regulars.
• Work quickly, learn from mistakes, and proactively look for opportunities to assist other departments before being asked.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal food‑handler and sanitation standards.

Requirements

• Morning/daytime availability; evening flexibility during the holiday season as needed.
• Saturdays are required when needed.
• At least 18 years of age.
• One year of customer service or retail experience (preferred but not required).
• Ability to maintain a flexible schedule that varies week to week based on customer traffic and season.

Skills

• A “can do” attitude.
• Strong listening and communication skills to engage guests.
• Confidence to recommend menu and gift items.
• Ability to work quickly and learn from mistakes.
• Proactive teamwork – stepping in to help others without being asked.
