About the role
The 2026-27 Seasonal Communications Intern will assist the Communications team in providing quality media relations to local and national media covering the Florida Panthers. This role supports the preparation and dissemination of media documents and game-day operations.
Responsibilities
- Support game-day media relations tasks, including credentialing, media check-in, document distribution, and statistics and online coverage tracking
- Assist in press box operations including pre- and postgame setup and distribution of game reports
- Disseminate game-day stats and information to media, visiting team personnel, and other relevant parties
- Collect and transcribe postgame interviews
- Interact with and fulfill on-site media requests
- Compile and maintain digital tracking of external media clips
- Support written duties, including press releases and other written communications
Requirements
- Current college student or recent post-graduate preferred, with a focus in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or Digital Media
- Must be available to work all or most Florida Panthers home games, including games and events scheduled on weekends, holidays, and postseason games during the 2026-27 season
- Knowledge of hockey and strong communications skills required
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Must demonstrate professional conduct and appropriate attire at all times
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, and Excel) is a plus
- Must be able to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and occasional holidays
Schedule
Must be available for all or most Florida Panthers home games, including weekends, holidays, and postseason games.
