About the role
The Seasonal Chef Instructor, Pastry will be responsible for teaching cooking classes and demonstrations to customers at Sur La Table stores. This role requires a passion for food and a strong background in pastry arts.
Responsibilities
- Teach cooking classes and demonstrations focusing on pastry techniques and recipes
- Engage with customers to provide personalized culinary experiences
- Assist in maintaining a clean and organized demonstration kitchen
- Collaborate with other instructors to develop and implement class curriculums
Requirements
- A minimum of 2 years of professional pastry experience
- Experience teaching cooking classes or workshops
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Culinary Arts, Pastry Arts, or related field preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Skills
- Proficiency in pastry techniques and baking
