About the role

The Seasonal Chef Instructor, Pastry will be responsible for teaching cooking classes and demonstrations to customers at Sur La Table stores. This role requires a passion for food and a strong background in pastry arts.

Responsibilities

  • Teach cooking classes and demonstrations focusing on pastry techniques and recipes
  • Engage with customers to provide personalized culinary experiences
  • Assist in maintaining a clean and organized demonstration kitchen
  • Collaborate with other instructors to develop and implement class curriculums

Requirements

  • A minimum of 2 years of professional pastry experience
  • Experience teaching cooking classes or workshops
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Culinary Arts, Pastry Arts, or related field preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
