Seasonal Application Reader, Undergraduate Admissions, Enrollment & Student Admissions

About the role

Boston University Admissions seeks to hire a group of seasonal application readers for the 2026-2027 application reading season. This position is 100% remote.

Responsibilities

• Work with our Office of Undergraduate Admissions from early November through early March.
• Conduct a comprehensive evaluation of applicants from their assigned schools by reviewing academic credentials as well as recommendations, activities, and written essays.
• Factor in an applicant’s life experiences and background.
• Exercise strict adherence to deadlines and confidentiality.

Requirements

• Prior experience in secondary schools or higher education.
• Familiarity with secondary school transcripts.
• Experience with international curricula and grading systems preferred.
• Access to a private computer with a reliable internet connection.
• A bachelor’s degree required.
• Candidates must reside in the United States.

Qualifications

• Strong analytical and reading skills.
• The ability to work independently and seek clarification when necessary.

Benefits

Salary: $25.00 an hour
Minimum commitment: 15-20 hours per week
