About the role

The Seal of Biliteracy Teacher Leader position at Florence Township Memorial High School will play a crucial role in supporting students who are biliterate. This individual will be responsible for developing and implementing programs that recognize and celebrate multilingualism.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement programs to recognize and celebrate multilingualism among students.
• Collaborate with other teachers and staff to ensure the Seal of Biliteracy is integrated into the curriculum.
• Provide professional development opportunities for teachers on the topic of biliteracy.
• Evaluate and assess the effectiveness of the Seal of Biliteracy program.

Requirements

• Valid New Jersey teaching certificate.
• Experience working with multilingual students.
• Strong understanding of language acquisition and pedagogy.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in education or related field.
• At least two years of teaching experience.
• Experience with assessment and evaluation of student performance.

• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
