About the role

The Seafood Innovation Scheme is intended to drive growth of the Irish Seafood Processing sector through innovation, enhancing scale and competitiveness in the industry, and capital investment in new technologies.

Responsibilities

• Fund the development of new value-added products or processes.
• Develop new value-added products or processes and technologies.
• Enable seafood SMEs to develop a structured business approach to seafood innovation.
• Facilitate innovation and knowledge transfer between industry and research institutions.
• Assist seafood SMEs in Business Planning, Gap Analysis, and Mentoring.

Requirements

• Organizations applying must be Individual Seafood Processing SMEs;
• Collectives of Seafood Processing SMEs;
• SME enterprises planning to enter the seafood processing industry;
• Public Bodies.
