Location: Colorado Springs, Colorado (Onsite). Candidates must be able to obtain and/or maintain a Department of Defense Secret clearance as a condition and continuation of employment.
About the role
We are seeking a Systems Engineering Tool Integrator to design, develop, and maintain seamless integrations among core development and requirements management platforms (JIRA, IBM DOORS, Cameo, Systems Modeler, GitLab, etc.). This position will perform duties related to the early phases of the Systems-Engineering Development Lifecycle, including concept, requirements, and design activities. The role will enable traceability, automated data flow, and unified reporting across the toolchain. The work will be performed as a member of an Agile Scrum team in a restricted area.
Responsibilities
- Analyze existing tool ecosystems and define integration requirements to support end-to-end system development processes.
- Design and implement bidirectional connectors/APIs (REST, SOAP, JMS, etc.) for JIRA, DOORS, Cameo, GitLab, and related tools.
- Develop automated scripts/workflows for data synchronization, change propagation, and traceability matrix generation.
- Conduct validation testing, performance tuning, and continuous monitoring of integration pipelines.
- Provide documentation, training, and support to engineering teams on integrated workflows.
- Lead the development of new system concepts by transforming stakeholder needs into technical approaches.
- Perform requirements elicitation and decomposition using artifacts such as use cases, activity diagrams, and sequence diagrams.
- Lead the development of physical and logical system models using Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) approaches and tools.
Requirements
- Education: A bachelor's degree with 5+ years of experience, an advanced degree with 3+ years of experience, or equivalent experience.
- Systems Engineering/Architecture experience, with a background in working in an integrated team environment to develop solutions covering all aspects of the Systems-Engineering Development Lifecycle.
- Experience with using MBSE approaches and tools (e.g., Cameo and/or Tableau).
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing frameworks, and containerized deployment (Docker/Kubernetes).
- Certifications in Atlassian (JIRA), IBM DOORS, or Cameo.
- Working knowledge of approved security standards and data handling policies.
- Experience interacting with customers for the elicitation of needs and requirements.
- Experience with one or more elements of the Missile Defense System.
- Experience with elements involved in Space Defense, Space Domain Awareness, or other Space Missions.
Schedule
This is a 100% in-office position. Some travel may be required.
