Scrum Master

We are seeking a software Scrum Master to join an award-winning company and work with cutting-edge missile defense modeling and simulation technologies. The selected candidate will be a member of a dynamic Huntsville-based team working on state-of-the-art system-of-systems frameworks, blending engineering and software skills. This is a full-time, on-site position in Huntsville, AL.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate agile team-level events including planning breakouts, sprint planning, daily stand-ups, feature elaboration, sprint review, etc.
• Provide reporting of impediments, blockers, and risks.
• Work with Release Train Engineer to set performance and growth targets for their teams.
• Mentor agile team members.
• Participate in scrum of scrums, inspect and adapt, and ad hoc sessions.
• Coordinate cross-team collaboration, dependencies, and report these to the Release Train Engineer.
• Ensure teamwork, progress, and artifacts are transparent to stakeholders.

Requirements

• Familiar with Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe).
• Able to communicate across all levels of the program.
• Strong knowledge of Agile Scrum workflow and Kanban.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to lead and facilitate all Agile ceremonies.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen.
• An active DoD Secret clearance is required upon hire, with the ability to maintain this level of clearance during employment.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in a related discipline with 5 years of professional experience; or Master’s degree with 3 years of professional experience; or PhD with no experience.

Skills

• SAFe Scrum Master certification (desired).
• Familiar with Jira or similar issue tracking and agile project management tools.
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Experience with DevSecOps (desired).
• Version1/Agility or Jira experience (desired).
