Roles And Responsibilities
- Facilitate all Scrum ceremonies (Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews, Retrospectives).
- Develop, maintain, and communicate Scrum artifacts, including product backlogs, sprint backlogs, release plans, and burndown metrics.
- Remove obstacles, blockers, and distractions that hinder delivery, escalating when necessary to maintain momentum.
- Coach and mentor Scrum team members and stakeholders in Agile frameworks, ensuring consistent adoption of best practices within a federal environment.
- Gather, document, and validate business and system requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria to accurately represent mission and technical needs.
- Collaborate with Product Owners, technical leads, and stakeholders to refine backlog items and prioritize delivery based on mission impact.
- Maintain accurate records of application modifications, configuration changes, and release documentation.
- Serve as a liaison between technical teams, business users, and program stakeholders to ensure clear communication and alignment.
Requirements
- US Citizen with ability to obtain CBP BI.
- Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, or related field.
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM), PSM, SAFe Scrum Master, PMI-ACP.
- At least 5 years of experience as a Scrum Master and/or Business Analyst in federal IT projects.
- Strong understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum, SAFe, Kanban) with the ability to adapt practices within a government environment.
- Demonstrated experience eliciting, documenting, and managing functional and non-functional requirements.
- Knowledge of federal IT project management frameworks, security controls, or compliance requirements (e.g., NIST, FedRAMP) preferred.
- Excellent facilitation, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills across technical and non-technical audiences.
- Proficiency with Agile lifecycle management tools (Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, or similar).
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical, organizational, and documentation skills.
