About the role
The Scrum Master will support the Chief Engineer and Agile Coach across technical execution, multi-cloud operations, and DevSecOps innovation for future work on the U.S. Air Force Cloud One Next (C1N) ACSS contract.
Responsibilities
- Lead the team in executing Continuous Flow/Kanban or planned sprint activities.
- Facilitate and lead all team ceremonies, including Refinements/Sprint Planning, Daily Boardwalks/Standups, Retrospectives, and Reviews/Demos, using relevant metrics and data to drive continuous improvement.
- Remove impediments by resolving blocking issues related to feature development, build and dependency challenges, operational support conflicts, and process.
- Provide timely status, risk, and dependency reporting to management, including sprint execution, team availability, and issues impacting delivery.
- Help teams design, develop, document, configure, test, and debug applications and frameworks across the full software development life cycle, serving as a key contributor to system enhancements and new features.
- Help the Agile Coach teach and execute hybrid SAFe 6 and Extreme Programming framework across the program.
- Help team use AI-assisted development tools to accelerate coding, refactoring, debugging, and test creation.
- Help team to adopt DevSecOps concepts and tooling.
- Collaborate with and mentor junior team members to meet commitments and project milestones.
- Communicate effectively with cross-functional internal teams, stakeholders, and, when necessary, external partners to ensure alignment and successful delivery.
- Participate in and lead teams through PI Planning events.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field with 8+ years of relevant experience or a Master’s degree with 6+ years of prior experience.
- SAFe 6 Experience/ Knowledge of AI-Native SAFe.
- SAFe 6 Leading SAFe certification.
- SAFe 6 Scrum Master certification.
- SAFe 6 DevOps certification.
- Significant knowledge of DevSecOps methodology, security, and cloud environments.
- Understanding of sound software development principles and practices.
- Experience with version control systems such as Git or Subversion.
- Experience working as a Team Coach, Scrum Master within the SAFe Framework.
- Experience with Kanban/Continuous Flow.
- Understanding of Extreme Programming principles.
- Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing.
- Active Secret Clearance.
- US citizenship required.
