In this role, you will serve as the agile backbone for a cloud engineering team focused on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) delivery, facilitating the full Scrum framework and keeping sprint execution on track across a fast-moving, technically oriented team. This is a dedicated Scrum Master position — you will own the agile process. You will work directly alongside a Product Owner and technical lead, interface periodically with federal stakeholders, and serve as the team's go-to resource for sprint status, task tracking, and ceremony cadence. The right person brings solid Scrum fundamentals, an adaptable mindset, and the communication skills to hold their own in a room with senior engineers and agency customers alike. Location: Hybrid, On-site 4 days/week in Washington, D.C. 20006 and 1 day Telework Job Type: Full-time Salary: $90,000–$115,000 annually, based on experience level. Clearance Requirement: Active Secret or Top Secret Security Clearance Key Responsibilities Facilitate all Scrum ceremonies including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, backlog grooming, sprint reviews, and retrospectivesDrive sprint demos at the close of each sprint, managing the facilitation cadencePartner with the Product Owner to refine the backlog, write and break down user stories and subtasks, and maintain sprint board accuracy in JiraServe as the primary point of contact for sprint status visibility — pulling reports, tracking task ownership, and keeping the team and leadership informedMaintain documentation and reference materials in SharePoint; coordinate with the BA on documentation deliverables as neededMonitor and manage ServiceNow tickets as integrated with the Jira workflow, providing timely status updates to stakeholdersSupport change management activities at a high level, coordinating with technical team members on pipeline and security-related storiesAct as an agile culture carrier for the team — setting the standard for how work gets tracked, communicated, and completed Required Qualifications U.S. CitizenshipActive Secret or Top Secret security clearance5-8 years of experience as a Scrum Master in an IT or software delivery environmentCertified ScrumMaster (CSM) or equivalent Scrum/agile certificationDemonstrated experience facilitating all Scrum ceremonies and managing sprint execution end-to-endProficiency with Jira (Atlassian) for story writing, subtask management, and sprint trackingWorking knowledge of at least one cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP) — specific platform expertise not required, but cloud familiarity isHigh-level understanding of DevSecOps concepts and delivery pipelines, sufficient to contextualize team stories and facilitate grooming conversationsFamiliarity with ATO (Authority to Operate) processes and federal IT security frameworks (e.g., NIST 800-53, FedRAMP) at a conceptual levelStrong interpersonal and communication skills — able to engage confidently with engineers, product leadership, and federal customersAbility to work on-site in Washington, DC five days per week Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting federal IT programs or government cloud modernization initiativesFamiliarity with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) specifically — this is a nice-to-have, not a requirementExperience with SharePoint for documentation management and team knowledge repositoriesFamiliarity with ServiceNow, particularly in environments where it is integrated with Jira for ticketing and work intakeCertified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or SAFe certificationCloud certification from any major provider (AWS, GCP, or Azure) demonstrating foundational cloud literacyBackground supporting change management activities in an agile delivery context Why Join LightFeather?
