Responsibilities
- Inspect the quality of scrap entering the yard
- Follow safety requirements
- Adhere to work procedures to ensure high-quality scrap for the mill
- Perform scrap inspection and testing of scrap chemistry
- Report non-conforming material
- Communicate effectively with other employees and on-site contractors
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to work in extreme weather conditions and walk several miles per day
- Strong safety awareness
- Good communication skills (verbal, written, and electronic)
- Self-motivated and works well with others
- Quality and detail-oriented
- Outstanding computer skills, including Excel and Word
