Scientist/Senior Scientist for Pharmacology

Key Responsibilities

  • In Vivo Pharmacology: Design and develop animal models, execute in vivo experiments, lead service projects, and act as Project Manager or Study Director.
  • Animal Handling: Perform tasks such as animal handling, tumor inoculation, drug administration, blood and tissue collection, tumor measurements, and PK/PD studies.
  • Model Building: Independently lead internal model-building projects and characterize humanized mouse models.
  • Technical Support: Provide troubleshooting support and technical guidance to junior associates.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with the BD/Sales team for client project planning and technical discussions.
  • Client Presentation: Present project results to clients and internal stakeholders; prepare scientific reports and summaries.
  • Mentorship: Mentor and facilitate the growth of junior research associates.

In Vitro and Ex Vivo Pharmacology

  • Immune Cell Profiling: Develop and validate assays including immune cell profiling from blood and tissues.
  • Functional Assays: Conduct functional assays using primary cells like T cells, NK cells, and macrophages.
  • Cytokine Profiling: Perform cytokine profiling, cytotoxicity, and apoptosis assays.
  • New Assay Development: Develop new assay technologies by researching scientific literature and adapting methodologies.
  • Flow Cytometry: Execute flow cytometry (FACS), ELISA, Western blot, qRT-PCR, and multiplex cytokine analyses.
  • Support In Vivo Studies: Contribute to in vivo pharmacology studies from an in vitro perspective.
  • Scientific Presentations: Present research findings at internal meetings and contribute to external scientific discussions.

Requirements

  • PhD in pharmacology, immunology, cancer biology, or related biomedical field.
  • Extensive hands-on experience in animal models and preclinical in vivo pharmacology.
  • Proven skills in cell-based immunological assays including T cell activation, NK cell-mediated cytotoxicity, and macrophage functional assays.
  • Expertise in PK/PD model establishment and analysis.
  • Proficiency in flow cytometry, cytokine profiling (ELISA, qRT-PCR, multiplex assays), and immune cell isolation from tissues.
  • Experience with surgical procedures in rodents is highly desirable.
  • Cross-functional knowledge across therapeutic areas is a plus.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and team collaboration skills with the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to independently manage projects and work with cross-functional teams.
