Scientist (Process Support Lab)

Responsibilities
- Train on and independently execute flow cytometry sample preparation and assay development experiments.
- Prepare various media solutions for upstream or downstream laboratory experiments.
- Train on and independently execute additional analytical testing for lab studies, utilizing FTIR, UPLC, serial dilutions, Karl Fischer, strong pipetting, Dynamic Light Scattering, and metabolic analyzers (e.g., BioProfile).
- Document lab work in a data‑integrity and GDP‑compliant manner using an electronic laboratory notebook and/or paper protocols.
- Adhere to a safe working culture: participate in lab safety walk‑throughs and follow all site‑ and lab‑safety procedures, including biosafety requirements, cross‑contamination procedures, and PPE.
- Provide flexible support based on project needs, including occasional off‑shift scheduling.
Qualifications
- BS degree in a scientific concentration.
- Strong collaboration skills.
- Attention to detail in procedural execution and documentation.
- Comfort with both routine testing and flexible, project‑based support.
- Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restrictions or sponsorship.
Schedule
Monday – Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm with overtime as needed. Occasional off‑shift scheduling may be required. Candidates should reside within a commutable distance of Durham, NC.
