About the role

The Scientist, Process Sciences will develop, characterize, and scale up oligonucleotide manufacturing processes. This onsite position is primarily located at our Kendall Square offices in Cambridge, MA.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to process development, optimization, and scale-up of oligonucleotide manufacturing processes.
  • Support the process and product characterization of small molecules and oligonucleotide APIs.
  • Contribute to the management and optimization of in-house and contract manufacturing processes.
  • Author and review technical protocols and development reports in support of manufacturing and process characterization activities.
  • Author, edit, and review manufacturing documentation according to regulatory and procedural guidelines.
  • Work closely with analytical development, manufacturing, QA, QC, and CMO/CRO on process transfer and process optimization.
  • Contribute to strategic technical discussions and present progress at internal and external scientific meetings.

Requirements

  • Master’s Degree in chemistry, chemical engineering, or biochemical engineering.
  • 3 years of experience with oligonucleotide therapeutics process research and development is preferred.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in the design and development of practical processes for manufacture of small molecules and oligonucleotides.
  • Hands-on experience in process development and analytical methods for process and product characterization.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated strong operational execution and problem-solving skills.
  • Desire to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Pay

Pay ranges between $45–$53 per hour based on experience.
