Responsibilities
- Perform analysis on allergenic and client components, raw materials, intermediates, and finished products following written procedures, providing the data required to determine raw material and product disposition
- Analyze raw materials, in-process, stability and final container products according to established procedures and as directed by the supervisor
- Record and review data in accordance with GxP to meet regulatory requirements and provide information relevant to product disposition
- Perform studies to assess product or procedural problems
- Assist in other forms of troubleshooting/investigations as directed
- Prepare reports and assist with document creation/revisions
- Maintain training compliance on all procedures
- Adhere to all aspects of plant safety programs and in keeping with GMPs or other regulations
- Maintain and operate laboratory equipment in accordance with procedure
- Participate in direct internal and/or external client interactions
- Demonstrate QC leadership within the department and outside the department as needed
- Demonstrate technical expertise and assist in training exercises
- Suggest pathways for improvement of processes and procedures and suggest resolution on issues such as unexpected results
- Perform special assignments as directed
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Chemistry, Biology or related hard science required
- 3 years lab experience required
- 3 years pharmaceutical experience desired
- Microsoft Word required
- Microsoft Excel required
- Manual dexterity required
- Knowledge, practical application, and understanding of the sciences are necessary to perform the functions of this position
- Ability to utilize scientific literature, and to make effective written and oral reports that are clear, accurate, and logical
- Knowledge of chemistry, statistics, computer-assisted data processing, and good-manufacturing practices is desirable
- Must demonstrate initiative and a willingness to learn
- Must be self-motivated with good communication and human relation skills, and must be able to effectively schedule, prioritize, and organize their time
- Must demonstrate the ability to work in a team setting supporting project teams as a Quality Unit representative
- Accountability – freedom to act independently – is subject to practices/well defined policy, management reviews results after the fact
- Accountability – influence on end results – provides analysis, diagnosis or production tasks which noticeably impact end results
Pay
Hiring wage: $81,800.00 – $130,900.00, with opportunities for growth, promotion, and annual raises.
