Scientist - Cell Line Development

The Cell Culture Scientist will conduct cell culture laboratory work in both Cell Line Development (CLD) and Cell Culture Process Development (Upstream) teams to support the development of stable manufacturing cell lines that express therapeutic antibodies.

Responsibilities

• Execute routine cell culture experiments to support CLD and Upstream teams, including sampling, counting, and passaging cells, preparing DNA for transfection, conducting transfection experiments, and screening transfected cells.
• Prepare media, buffers, and solutions needed for laboratory work.
• Maintain routine electronic laboratory notebook (ELN) documentation.
• Present work summaries to internal functional teams.
• Communicate clearly and collaborate actively with internal cross-functional teams to facilitate pipeline development of large molecules.
• Perform other responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a relevant life sciences program and 2+ years of experience or MS degree in a relevant scientific field.
• Preferred: Experience with cell culture process development.
• In some cases, an equivalency consisting of a combination of appropriate education, training, and/or directly related experience may be considered sufficient.

Skills

• Knowledge of applicable regulatory authority, compendia, and ICH guidelines.
• Ability to understand and independently apply GMPs and/or GLPs to everyday work regarding documentation and instrument use.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word for task execution.
