Scientist/Senior Scientist, Cell Line Development

The Position
OneCyte is an innovative startup pioneering a single-cell technology developed at MIT and Harvard. We are building the most advanced and adaptable technology stack for live cell analysis and helping biotechnology companies create the next generation of medicines. Cells are the building blocks of biotechnology and our vision is to empower a bright future through extraordinary cells. We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Scientist/Senior Scientist to join our team.
Responsibilities
- Lead with hands-on support in commercial cell line development contract campaigns and single-cell assay development.
- Perform commercial projects adhering to strict quality control measures.
- Manage and foster positive customer interactions related to commercial campaigns.
- Provide crucial hands-on support to internal R&D efforts, including development of novel and customized single-cell assays, analytics, and more.
- Assist in execution and management of federal contracts.
- Manage work closely with contractors and vendors to ensure seamless project execution.
- Conduct laboratory work and oversee laboratory operations.
- Prepare technical reports and presentations for clear communication of scientific findings across interdisciplinary teams.
- Train and manage junior laboratory staff.
Requirements
- Ph.D., or BS/MS with 8+ years of industry experience in Cell line development with CHO.
- Strong background in standard and cutting-edge cell and/or molecular biology techniques, including cell culture.
- Experience working in a quality control environment.
- Demonstrated ability to train and manage associates.
- Track record of collaborative work.
- Expertise In At Least One Of The Following Areas:
- Cell line development and commercial expression systems for, CHO, proteins, etc.
- Cell line development of Bi-specific antibodies.
- Cell line development of Biosimilars.
- Mammalian expression vector design.
- Process development.
- Cell line development analytics.
- CMCGMP.
- Continuous biomanufacturing.
- Advanced microscopy.
- Cell and genetic engineering.
- Single-cell analytics.
Qualifications
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Action-oriented, team player, and highly motivated, with a strong work ethic.
- Excellent communication skills, verbal and writing.
- Ability to excel in a fast-paced, dynamic, innovative environment.
- Well-organized and strong attention to detail with an ability to deal with competing priorities towards maximizing value.
