Email: siddhi.kadakia@collabera.com | Phone: (847)-440-1112.| Position Details: Client Industry: Pharmaceutical/Medical Device/Biotechnology Job Title: Scientist II : Cell & Functional Biology Location: Worcester, Massachusetts 01605 Duration: 12 Months Contract (++ possibility of extension based on performance and business needs); Number of Interviews : 4 (30 min each) Pay Range : $40.00 to $48.00 per hour Job Description: The Cell and Functional Biology team within Biotherapeutics Discovery is seeking a contract Scientist II to perform high-throughput antibody binding and functional screening to enable data-driven decisions on project advancement. This individual will execute, optimize, and analyze ELISA, flow cytometry, and cell-based assays as part of antibody discovery. The role includes optimizing and executing antibody screening, maintaining mammalian cell culture lines, analyzing data and standardizing and automating current protocols. Key Responsibilities Include: Perform high-throughput antibody screening workflows, including flow cytometry-based binding, internalization, and reporter assays using automated liquid-handling systems. Perform and analyze experiments to evaluate antibody binding, potency, and selectivity using immunoassay platforms, including ELISA and flow cytometry. Coordinate sourcing of internal and commercial reagents for screening assays Develop and standardize screening workflows, assay protocols, and automation procedures. Maintain immortalized mammalian cell lines Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent education with typically approximately 5 years of relevant biotech or pharmaceutical industry experience, or Master’s Degree or equivalent education with typically two years of experience Strong hands-on experience with flow cytometry assay execution and troubleshooting Strong experience with high-throughput screening workflows Familiarity with protein-protein interaction assays, ELISA experience preferred Familiarity with immortalized mammalian cell culture Prior experience with functional cellular assays Excellent communication skills and demonstrated ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
