Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain bioinformatics tools, libraries, and databases analyzing Spatial Proteomics / mIF data.
- Analyze and interpret large, complex biological datasets - including spatial proteomics and single-cell data - to support discovery of new drugs, therapies, and biologically meaningful patterns.
- Evaluate, test, and improve existing internal software solutions, and partner with software teams during active development cycles.
- Work cross-functionally with wetlab and software teams to critically evaluate data from multiplex biomarker assays and translate scientific needs into analysis solutions.
- Communicate findings to scientists, researchers, and stakeholders through clear written reports and presentations.
- Challenge the status quo by engaging in constructive critique of established practices and proposing better alternatives.
- Deliver projects and milestones on time, keeping leadership informed through routine progress updates.
- May participate in travel to conferences and tradeshows.
Qualifications
- Requires a PhD with extensive bioinformatic analysis background
- Strong fluency in Python (required); working knowledge of R, MATLAB, or comparable scientific computing environments is a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to design and write clean, reusable functions, modules, and analysis pipelines - not just notebook-style scripting.
- Hands-on experience developing machine-learning or deep-learning models (training, evaluation, and deployment), particularly applied to imaging or single-cell data.
- Ability to communicate, educate and engage wet lab scientists
- Excellent collaboration and interpersonal skills
