About the role

A leading biotechnology organization is seeking a Scientist II to support antibody discovery and functional biology research. This role will focus on high-throughput antibody screening, flow cytometry, ELISA, and cell-based assays to support data-driven project advancement. The ideal candidate will have strong laboratory experience in immunological assays, mammalian cell culture, and assay development within a biotechnology or pharmaceutical environment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform high-throughput antibody screening workflows, including flow cytometry-based binding, internalization, and reporter assays utilizing automated liquid-handling systems.
  • Execute and analyze experiments to evaluate antibody binding, potency, and selectivity using immunoassay platforms such as ELISA and flow cytometry.
  • Coordinate sourcing and management of internal and commercially available reagents required for screening activities.
  • Develop, optimize, and standardize assay protocols, screening workflows, and automation procedures.
  • Maintain and expand immortalized mammalian cell lines to support research programs.
  • Analyze experimental data and communicate findings to project teams and stakeholders.
  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional scientific teams to support research objectives and project milestones.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Biochemistry, Immunology, Biotechnology, or a related scientific discipline with approximately five years of relevant biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry experience.
  • Master’s degree in a related scientific discipline with approximately two years of relevant industry experience.
  • Flow Cytometry experience, including assay execution, optimization, and troubleshooting.
  • High-Throughput Screening experience in a research or drug discovery environment.
  • Experience with Cell-Based Assays and functional cellular screening methods.
  • Familiarity with Mammalian Cell Culture techniques and maintenance of immortalized cell lines.
  • Strong data analysis and experimental documentation skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work in cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with ELISA and other immunoassay platforms.
  • Familiarity with protein-protein interaction assays.
  • Experience supporting antibody discovery, biologics development, or therapeutic screening programs.
  • Exposure to laboratory automation platforms and automated liquid-handling systems.

Pay
