About the role

Westminster Christian Academy is seeking a Science Teacher for the 2027‑28 school year. The school is an independent, coeducational college‑preparatory institution serving 970 students in grades 7‑12 on a 70‑acre suburban St. Louis County campus. Westminster honors Jesus Christ by providing an excellent education rooted in biblical truth as interpreted by the Westminster Confession of Faith. Responsibilities

• Teach science courses to middle and high school students.
• Integrate scientific content with a Christian worldview in lesson planning and delivery.
• Maintain effective classroom management and foster a nurturing learning environment.
• Build healthy relationships with students inside and outside the classroom.
• Participate in the school’s mission to help students discover and embrace a biblical view of the world.

Qualifications

• A clear testimony of a personal saving relationship with Jesus Christ.
• Membership or faithful attendance at an approved Protestant church congregation.
• Bachelor’s degree in Science or Education with a science emphasis.
• Passion to integrate science and Christianity in teaching approach.
• Solid understanding of the Reformed faith.
• Strong classroom management skills.
• Strong professional or collegiate references.
• Teaching certification in science and experience in a secondary school setting preferred.
• Ability to provide two professional references (Faculty Candidate Evaluation) and one pastor reference as part of the application process.
