Science Teacher (2026-2027 School Year)

About the Role

Phoenix Charter Academy is seeking a Science Teacher for our Chelsea campus. In this role, you will plan and deliver high school Science lessons, assess student learning, and provide academic and personal guidance as both an instructor and mentor. You will collaborate with colleagues to develop instructional practices and participate in professional development to enhance your teaching skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver effective Science lessons aligned with curriculum guidelines.
• Use a variety of teaching strategies and resources to engage students in learning.
• Assess student learning and provide timely feedback to guide progress.
• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters collaboration and respect.
• Establish clear expectations and routines for student behavior.
• Utilize technology to enhance teaching and learning experiences.
• Serve as an advisor and mentor, providing academic and personal guidance to students.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop and improve instructional practices.
• Participate in professional development activities to enhance teaching skills.
• Communicate with parents and guardians regarding student progress and challenges.

Requirements

• Prior experience teaching Science at the high school level is preferred.
• Familiarity with best practices in Science instruction and assessment.
• Knowledge of current educational trends and research in Science education.
• Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of students.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Commitment to ongoing professional growth and learning.
• Flexibility and adaptability to meet the changing needs of students and the school community.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Science Education or a related field.
• Relevant teaching certification or licensure.
• Demonstrated knowledge and expertise in the subject matter.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
