AHS Staffing is seeking a School Services Special Education Teacher for a travel assignment in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Start date is as soon as possible for a duration of 13 weeks, with 37 hours per week on a 12-hour day shift.

About the Role

PediaStaff is seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to support students with significant needs in the Colorado Springs area for the 2026/27 school year. This full-time role focuses on assessment and program planning for elementary students with severe disabilities, multiple disabilities, or emotional disturbance. The caseload consists of 12 students, and the position runs from August 10th, 2026, to May 26th, 2027.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct and indirect instructional support in a positive, structured learning environment.
• Adapt teaching methods (e.g., multi-sensory techniques, repetition) to meet diverse student needs.
• Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in collaboration with parents, administrators, and related service providers.
• Modify curricula and employ assistive technologies to promote academic, social-emotional, and functional growth.
• Teach socially acceptable behaviors using positive behavioral support systems.
• Monitor and evaluate student progress and behavior.
• Communicate regularly with families to align priorities and serve as an informational resource for students, parents, and community organizations.
• Research and provide instructional materials tailored to student needs.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or a related field.
• Valid Colorado Special Education License.

Pay

Competitive hourly rate of $30–$45 per hour.
