School Services - School Occupational Therapist - $50-57 per hour

About the role

PediaStaff is seeking an Occupational Therapist for a local contract job in St. Helens, Oregon.

Responsibilities

  • Provide occupational therapy services to infants, toddlers, and preschool-aged children
  • Deliver services across home, child care, preschool, community, and virtual settings as appropriate
  • Complete evaluations and assessments
  • Develop and implement individualized occupational therapy interventions
  • Support children's development, functional participation, and independence
  • Collaborate closely with families, caregivers, educators, and other service providers
  • Participate in IFSP and IEP processes as appropriate
  • Maintain and monitor student progress
  • Maintain required documentation
  • Provide families and caregivers with strategies to support development within children's everyday routines and environments

Requirements

  • Current license to practice as an Occupational Therapist in the state of Oregon
  • Experience in early intervention or early childhood special education
  • Ability to work in a hybrid schedule (3 days in person / 2 days virtual)
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Passionate about supporting children's development and independence

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
  • Current license to practice as an Occupational Therapist in the state of Oregon
  • Experience in early intervention or early childhood special education
  • Knowledge of assessment tools and techniques relevant to early childhood populations
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proficiency in using technology for documentation and case management
  • Ability to adapt to various settings and environments
