VyTalent Solutions is seeking a Sign Language Interpreter for the 2026-2027 school year for a local contract job in Leonardtown, Maryland.

• Hours: 35 hours per week; 12-hour shift
• Candidate type: Local and traveler friendly
• Preferred: 2 years of experience in the school setting

Responsibilities

• Interpret classroom instruction, discussion, and school activities using ASL.
• Support students' access to academic content, social interactions, and extracurricular activities.
• Collaborate with school staff and families to support students' educational participation, communication, and inclusion.
• Assist with IEP meetings and ensure compliance with educational and communication standards.
• Adapt interpretation to meet diverse student needs, including working with students with gestural communication or DeafPlus.

Requirements

• Valid state licensure as a Sign Language Interpreter; willingness to obtain MD licensure.

Pay

$33.25 - $41.20 hourly
