Responsibilities
- School Safety Guard
- Provide security to campuses
- Conduct necessary drills
- Respond to emergency situations and take appropriate action
- Assist school administration and law enforcement with threat assessments
- Conduct campus walkthroughs and safety checks
- Be a uniformed school employee located at their assigned campus location
- Have access to a firearm on campus
- Not work with student discipline nor have any law enforcement authority

- User Training
- All employees must be fingerprinted and pass a background screening process by the Clearinghouse.
- Must pass a background screening, a psych evaluation, an annual drug and alcohol screening, and random drug screens.
- Must pass and maintain annual ARGUS training and certification through the Pasco Sheriff’s office.
- Must possess and maintain a valid Florida Concealed Weapons Permit.
- High School Diploma or High School Diploma Equivalent (GED).
- Must be able to perform physical activities, such as, but not limited to, lifting heavy items (up to 40 lbs. unassisted), bending, standing, climbing or walking for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to work occasional nights and weekends if required.
- Must have a valid driver license with a clean driving record.
- Strong customer service, communication and interpersonal skills required.
- Excellent time management skills and ability to organize, prioritize, manage, and carry out duties efficiently and within established timeframes.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Regular attendance and punctuality.
- Must be able to stand for long hours.
- Physical requirements: Must be able to exert 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
