School Operations Coordinator

About the role

One City Schools, Inc. seeks a School Operations Coordinator to support the daily operational activities of its network of early childhood and public charter schools. This role assists with technical and administrative tasks, ensures efficient functioning of school teams, processes, and facilities, and contributes to creating a safe and productive learning environment for students and staff.

Responsibilities

  • Administrative Support:
    • Coordinate school events, meetings, and activities
    • Maintain and organize school records, documents, and student files
    • Manage inventory of school supplies and materials
    • Assist with procurement processes, including ordering supplies and monitoring stock levels
    • Support communication efforts by drafting and proofreading correspondence
  • Facilities and Maintenance:
    • Collaborate with leadership to facilitate maintenance of school facilities and functions
    • Coordinate repairs, cleaning, and janitorial services as needed
    • Maintain safety protocols and emergency procedures
  • Enrollment, Registration and Student Support:
    • Assist with student enrollment processes, including recruitment, registration, and record-keeping
    • Collaborate with teachers and staff to align support with school-based needs and student plans
  • Stakeholder Engagement:
    • Build and maintain positive relationships with parents, families, and the community
    • Collaborate with school leadership, development, and partnership staff to secure resources and community partnerships
    • Represent One City Schools at community events and meetings
  • Budget Assistance:
    • Assist in budget research, preparation, tracking, and expense monitoring
    • Help prepare and process invoices and payments related to school operations

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a relevant field is a plus
  • Previous experience in administrative support or school operations is preferred
  • Strong understanding of school operations from the perspective of teachers and support staff
  • Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software applications
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
  • Commitment to the mission and values of One City Schools
  • Ability to regularly and routinely lift and push at least 50 pounds
  • Completion of a background check required
  • Be at least 18 years of age
