School-Based Mental Health Services (SBMHS) Program Implementation & Regional Outreach

  • Collaborate with partners from Aspen to Parachute to align regional goals, share best practices, and drive continuous improvement of school mental health systems through resource mapping and service evaluation.
  • Coach and consult with educators, administrators, and school-based clinicians to strengthen classroom interventions, small groups, and Tier 2 supports.
  • Support schools in developing and strengthening Tier 1–3 mental health systems, including universal screening, progress monitoring, data-informed decision making, and intervention tracking.
  • Design and deliver trainings for school staff, students, and families on mental health literacy, suicide prevention, tobacco and substance use prevention, trauma-informed practices, de-escalation, and crisis response.
  • Assist in designing referral pathways and tiered systems for movement between levels of support and connection to crisis services.
  • Complete the Safety Net Provider Quarterly Retrospective Report for the SBMHS Program.
  • Represent AHC in district, school, and community partnership meetings as assigned.

School-Based Program Leadership And Collaboration

  • Collaborate with the School Services Director to develop and coordinate clinician training, team workshops, and onboarding/orientation for school-based clinicians.
  • Support operational excellence and quality improvement through administrative chart audits, documentation review, and ongoing monitoring of compliance and performance standards.
  • Aid in the development of annual impact reports, grant deliverables, and program evaluation activities, and provide operational feedback during clinician performance evaluations in partnership with the Clinical Supervisor.
  • Meet regularly with the School Services Director and school leadership teams to ensure alignment, effective communication, and coordination of school-based mental health services.
  • Partner with schools, crisis team staff, and school-based clinicians to strengthen crisis response procedures, postvention protocols, and school mental health and wellness team processes.
  • Develop and provide schools with ongoing reports, data summaries, program updates, and feedback surveys to support transparency, accountability, and continuous quality improvement.
  • Develop, coordinate, and distribute family-facing mental health resources, training, and newsletters to increase awareness, reduce stigma, and support youth and family mental health needs.
  • Promote culturally responsive, equitable, and inclusive mental health practices across school communities.

School-Based Program Leadership And Collaboration

  • Support and coordinate the implementation, coordination, and evaluation of tobacco and substance use prevention programming across partnering schools and communities.
  • Facilitate a coalition of community partners focused on substance use prevention, connecting schools, families, and organizations around shared regional goals.
  • Provide training to school-based clinicians on prevention strategies, early intervention, and the integration of prevention messaging into school wellness efforts.
  • Support schools in utilizing data, screening tools, and needs assessments to inform prevention programming, identify areas of need, and evaluate program effectiveness and impact.

Meetings, Supervision, Workshops

  • Attends all staff meetings and participates in scheduled supervision with the Hope Center team and School Services Director.
  • Represents AHC at two internal and/or external events during the year, determined in collaboration with their supervisor.
  • Completes required training based on program needs and availability.
  • Participates in four AHC workshops annually.
  • Serves on one AHC committee, encouraged.
