School of Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences Audiology Lecturer Pool 2026-2027
About the role
San Diego State University’s School of Speech Language and Hearing Sciences is accepting applications for its part-time lecturer pool in Audiology. Temporary appointments may be either full- or part-time and are often made just prior to the start of the academic term, requiring availability on very short notice.
The Fall term runs from mid-August to late December; the Spring term from mid-January to mid-May. Summer Session teaching opportunities may also be available. Initial appointments are typically one semester or one academic year, renewable contingent on satisfactory evaluations and continuing availability of work. Applications remain active in the pool for the academic year in which they are submitted.
Qualifications
- Graduate degree in audiology
- University teaching experience
- Demonstrated currency in subject matter
Pay
Initial rank and salary are based on professional experience and educational background. As of July 2024, the classification salary ranges are:
- Lecturer A: $5,507 – $6,677
- Lecturer B: $6,221 – $13,224
- Lecturer C: $6,825 – $14,523
- Lecturer D: $8,593 – $15,211
Most new appointees are hired at the Lecturer A or B rank and placed at the beginning of the range.
