Brief Description of Duties

We are seeking lecturers who are interested in teaching at the undergraduate or graduate level and must be excellent in teaching and engaging with students. All classes to teach must be offered and meet as scheduled throughout the entire semester or term, in the mode assigned and listed in the schedule of classes (i.e., asynchronous, synchronous, bichronous, in-person, or hybrid). In addition to teaching during the designated class time, must be responsible for weekly office hours, creating and evaluating student exams and assignments. Participating in faculty meetings and giving input on curriculum decisions is also desired. Positions start at the beginning of a semester and appointments may be renewed based on department need, funding, and performance.

Required Qualifications

  • Master’s or higher degree relevant to courses to teach, at least three years of professional experience.
  • Knowledge and experience on the areas of teaching.
  • Applicants should demonstrate an awareness of and sensitivity to the educational goals of a multicultural population as might have been gained in cross-cultural study, training, teaching and other comparable experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • College teaching experience.

Employment Conditions

Faculty employees must complete CSU employee training as assigned and required based on their role (e.g., preventing discrimination and harassment, gender equity and Title IX, health and safety). Pursuant to the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act (Clery Act) and CSU systemwide policy, the faculty member in this position will subject to ongoing review for designation as a Campus Security Authority (CSA).
