About the role

A School Occupational Therapist provides therapy services to students, focusing on motor skills, sensory processing, cognitive functions, and transitional skills to support academic, social, and self-care development.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with school teams to develop and implement individualized plans
• Screen and evaluate students
• Collect and report data
• Deliver evidence-based direct and consultative therapy
• Maintain accurate documentation
• Train staff on strategies to enhance student participation and progress

Qualifications

• Active Occupational Therapy license in VT
• Graduate from an accredited OT program
• Must complete background checks

Skills

• NBCOT certification (preferred)
• Strong communication skills (preferred)
• Previous school experience (preferred)
