About the role
School Occupational Therapist (OT) responsible for providing therapy services to students in a school setting.
Responsibilities
- Partner with the educational team to evaluate and screen students
- Deliver evidence-based direct and consultative therapy
- Collect and report data
- Maintain accurate documentation
- Provide training and resources to staff
- Communicate effectively with teachers, families, and colleagues to support student progress
- Address motor skills, sensory processing, and cognitive functions impacting academic, self-care, play, and social participation
- Collaborate with the team to help students achieve their educational goals
- Provide resources for staff development
Qualifications
- Active Occupational Therapy license in WY
- Graduate from an accredited OT program
- Preferably hold NBCOT certification
- Excellent communication skills
- Previous school experience advantageous
- Completion of background checks required
