School Monitor Elementary (Effective 2026-2027 SCHOOL YEAR)
About the role
Assist site staff in monitoring and controlling student behavior during daily activities in hallways, classrooms, cafeterias and outdoors.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and control student behavior in various school areas.
- Support site staff in maintaining a safe and orderly learning environment.
Requirements
- Speak, read and write in English.
- Experience working with youth.
- FBI fingerprint background check required prior to start date.
- Proof of immunity to rubeola (measles) and rubella (German measles), or proof of MMR immunization.
- Department of School Safety Campus Monitor Training required.
Qualifications
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Skills
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to handle stressful situations calmly and professionally.
- Knowledge of child development and behavior management techniques.

Area FTE: .33 - 2.64 hours per day
Work Calendar: 9 month
Positions less than 30 hours per week are not eligible for district benefits.
Internal candidates will transfer at a rate commensurate with their bargaining unit language.
