School District Crossing Guard (3) 2 hours per day

Essential Functions

• Aid students and other pedestrians in safely crossing at designated areas on school grounds.
• Direct vehicular traffic using approved safety equipment such as stop paddles and safety vests.
• Monitor crosswalks during designated arrival times.
• Ensure students remain on sidewalks or curbs until it is safe to cross.
• Maintain order and safe behavior among students waiting to cross.
• Observe and report unsafe traffic conditions, suspicious activity or violations to school officials.
• Record and report vehicles that disregard traffic laws in school zones when appropriate.
• Provide basic safety reminders and instruction to students about safe crossing procedures.
