Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
• Active Illinois COTA license
• School-based or pediatric experience preferred
• Ability to work collaboratively with an Occupational Therapist and school team
• Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills

Job Details

• Position: Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant
• Location: Rockford, IL
• Dates: August 2026 through July 2027
• Setting: School-based, therapeutic school/new campus
• Schedule: Part-time, 15–20 hours per week minimum

Key Responsibilities

• Provide occupational therapy services under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist
• Implement treatment plans and interventions aligned with students’ IEP goals
• Support students with fine motor, sensory processing, self-care, and functional school-based skills
• Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and school staff to promote student progress
• Document services and student progress in accordance with school and compliance requirements
• Participate as part of a collaborative educational team
