School Bus Driver - Full-Time

Role: Bus Driver responsible for providing safe and efficient transportation for students. Key Responsibilities Fuel, check oil, and clean buses daily, including during field trips.Warm up buses prior to driving and perform pre-trip inspections using provided tablets.Maintain order and discipline on the bus, managing noise and distractions while adhering to school guidelines.Verify all passengers are students or authorized supervisors, complying with state law and insurance regulations.Conduct post-trip inspections for left items, damages, and ensure windows are closed.Use bus radios appropriately for school business.Maintain required records and emergency procedures, including evacuation drills and injury reports.Report safety hazards, repairs, and accidents promptly with documentation.Attend mandated meetings and demonstrate emergency evacuation skills. Qualifications High school diploma required.Annual DOT/Michigan Department of Education physical.Valid CDL with B, P, S, and air brakes endorsements, renewed before expiration.Passing drug test and a good driving record.Completion of state-mandated and advanced school bus driver training. Additional Details Part-time position as needed, aligned with the student calendar.Starting pay at $21.04 per hour during probation.Benefits include 401(k) matching, employee assistance, and retirement plan.Work is conducted in person at designated locations.
