School Bus Driver - CDL Required

About the role

As a First Student Part Time School Bus Driver, you will play a vital role in your community and the lives of the students you transport. Your day will include:

• A split shift, starting with before-school pickup and ending with an afternoon drop-off.
• A guaranteed shift of 4 hours per school day, with additional hours available through trips and charters.

Responsibilities

You will be responsible for:

• Ensuring the safe transportation of students to and from school.
• Arriving early in the morning for before-school pickup and staying late for afternoon drop-offs.
• Participating in the Child-Ride-Along Program for working parents.

Requirements

• Do not require a college degree or high school diploma.
• Have military experience.
• Are returning to the workforce or looking for a second job.
• Are retirees.
• Are looking to jump start a new career.
• Must have a valid driver's license for at least 3 years.
• Must have a CDL or CLP.

Qualifications

• At least 21 years old.

Skills

• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good time management skills.
