School Bus Driver (38-013)
Education And Experience Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Successful completion of a driving record check through the NM Motor Vehicle Division with a solid safety record
- Successful completion of a criminal background check in accordance with Section 22-10-3, NMSA, 1978 at applicant's expense
- Satisfactory completion of a NM school bus driver's physical examination
- Possess a valid New Mexico commercial driver's license (CDL) Class B for school buses, with S and P endorsements or the ability to obtain one.
- School bus driver experience desired
- Possession of current First Aid/CPR certification where required by State/District/Regulations desired
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required
- Ability to interact and communicate with students in a positive manner
- Ability to perform essential job functions and job task requirements
- Ability to communicate effectively with staff and co-workers
- Ability to perform essential job functions and job task requirements

2026-27 School Year.

Salary
Nine months (180 days) per contract year and appropriate placement on the Bus Driver Salary Schedule.
